I've long been fascinated by this range of hills that dominates the skyline over Edinburgh. It's so close to the city - within easy walking distance - and although really just a hill, it has all the majesty of a mountain. I've struggled to paint it before and will most definitely return to it. Here it is heavily exaggerated from a view down Buccleuch Place. Photos never really do it justice.
